In 2005 Jones completed £800,000 improvement works for Sedgemoor District Council ahead of schedule. The project involved undertaking the general repairs and external decoration to over 800 houses, flats and bungalows within Sedgemoor District Council. The works included installing new upvc windows and doors, new fascias’ and soffits, external painting, rebuilding or repairing sheds and improving and repairing fencing.
Ian Howse, Property Services Manager at Jones said, This project worked so smoothly due to many factors, firstly we had a good understanding of the Councils requirements early on within the project, any problems that arose during the project were dealt with promptly and successfully and we built up a good working relationship with the team at the Council and in particular Tony Whitelock. Throughout the project apart from getting the job done we wanted the residents to be happy with what we had done and we have been told by the Council that the results of the Tenant Satisfaction Surveys carried out after the works had been completed confirmed that this was the case.”
Tony Whitelock, Senior Contracts Surveyor, Opertaional Housing, Sedgemoor District Council said, “We were absolutely thrilled with improvements that Jones completed on our properties. They not only came in on budget which was impressive but they completed the works ahead of schedule which was just brilliant.”
Mrs Colins of Rhode Lane, Bridgwater said, “I would like to say how professional the painters were and how impressed I am with the job that they have done to the outside of my house.”
Mrs Addicott the Scheme Manager at Schoolfields, Millhave and Clifford Lodge, Bridgwater said on behalf of the residents and herself, “I know I can speak for us all when I thank you and your workmen for ‘transforming our site’ – we cannot fault the workmanship – across the board – all aspects have been carried out with professionalism and the standard has been excellent. Any problems that occurred have been dealt with swiftly and without fuss.” |
