Our Partnerships
The Early Years:
We were established in 1979, about the same time that many traditional Housing Associations were being formed.
Since then there have been many changes the most dramatic from our point of view was the formation of the Housing Associations from former Local Authority Housing departments under the Governments large Scale Voluntary Transfer arrangements. These associations generally had a much older stock profile, typically the majority being built in the pre and just post Second World War period. Consequently much of the stock had a requirement for repair and refurbishment.
The Early 2000's:
The government publishes the Decent Homes Standard requiring all Housing Associations to ensure that their properties reach the standard by December 2010. The requirement to achieve the Decent Homes Standard added impetus to the Housing Associations "Major Repairs Programmes" and we were in a good position to assist Social Housing Landlords in the delivery of these very demanding programmes.
The Mid 2000's Onwards:
The focus on Major Repairs programmes shifted to programmes to achieve compliance with the Decent Homes standard and the scope of work obviously concentrated on the elements required for the property to be recorded as being "Decent".
We developed high customer service standards and a suite of Key Performance Indicators to ensure that we could demonstrate our performance, ensure continuous improvement whilst assisting the Housing Associations in reaching the performance required by the Audit Commissions in their "Key Lines of enquiry".
We have been successful in being awarded contracts through conventional tendering processes and through negotiated "Partnering" contracts, our first being established in 2001. We have developed a true partnering ethos within the company which has delivered for both us and our client.
The consistent theme in our delivery has been to provide and excellent service to the resident and therefore the client through a keen awareness of the issues which we are all concerned about when having works carried out in our homes.
Today:
We are still engaged in delivering numerous projects to the Social Housing sector through conventional and partnering contracts. Our continual focus on customer satisfaction has brought its rewards through being recognised by clients and their renewal of contracts with us.
The Social housing sector is a core aspect of our business and will remain so for the foreseeable future.
We have several contracts where we are consistently achieving 100% customer satisfaction with a reply rate of over 90%.
We can provide the full range of building, mechanical and electrical services to the sector all delivered with care and respect.
